Robert Mazerolle

I am spawned from a rich Cajun family heritage of craftsmen, artists and designers. My prints and sculptures employ a variety of crafts and are composed of an orchestration of a variety of skill sets, such as printmaking and sculpture. Through explorations of geometry and color, my work is both inspired by and is a tribute to Futurist and Constructivist artists as well as the architects and designers who shaped the mid-century modern and contemporary aesthetic.

I studied at the conceptual art school - the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in the 1970’s, and also at les Beaux Arts de l’Université de Moncton. I have worked in the display, design and advertising industries for many years. But having been issued from a highly artistic family- my main education in studio crafts and observation originates with my talented Acadian family.

I have been honored with a few awards, especially for my prints. I have exhibited sculptures at Miami Art Week, part of Art Basel as well as prints at several venues. A few institutions have made acquisitions, and I hope to add you to my circle of original and interesting collectors. Bring my art prints into your space and enjoy the optimism and vibe of modernism.

For commissioned work, I am able to provide conceptual interpretations to private and public spaces, so do contact me if you wish to enhance a space, either indoor or exterior.
